Is MBA valuable by going through MAT Examination? Is there any scope in Guwahati?

The fact being told, most of the colleges that offer MBA on MAT scores are not good.

If you are trying for MBA try to go for CAT or other such examinations. I know people who just sat in MAT without any preparation has got calls from numerous colleges, so you can very well guess the standard of these colleges.

Moreover considering the present economic situation, its not advisable to do MBA from any college. As and when the economy will go down there will be less demand for MBA graduates and the worst sufferers will be the people from those not-so-great colleges.

So if the economy does not improves, then after 2 yrs of hard work and spending a few lakhs of rupees, all you will have is a MBA degree without any value in the market space.

Please don't feel bad by my answer. I just want you to be aware of the realities.

Regarding opportunities in Guwahati, my friends told me that Guwahati has good opening for people with a MBA degree. My friend with B.E. (Mechanical) + MBA is earning around 30-35 K monthly in Guwahati at junior level. I think that is good money in Guwahati.
